Comments: This evening I shall be mainly taking ale in this fine hostelry

Is that the place where we stopped for beer 'n chips on the way back from Eefrow, last time I was Over There?

Wonderful spot. Watched the boxing day hunt from there last year!

Kim - This is the Red Lion at Lacock - I think that you went there with The Englishman

Scared me there for a minute. I thought I'd read that you would be taking ON ale at the pub. (Visons of Mr. Free Market sinking into a large barrel of ale.)

Gawd, how would I know? Most of our trips to pubs have resulted in us crawling out at odd hours, well the worse for wear. There's no way I could remember the outside of ANY of the pubs I've been to with The Englishman except the Seven Stars, which he tells me has since gone out of business anyway.

Sadly right, 'The Stars' is no more - looks like it will have to be The King's Arms tomorrow evening
