Damn! I don't have enough fingers and toes to count up how long it's been since I smoked a pack of Silk Cut! Loved those, Navy Cuts and Senior Service (bought from our boutique tobacconists here in the U.S.) when I could find them. The last foreign-made cigarette I smoked was either a Russian Marlboro I bummed off a visiting Polish senior officer or a Gauloises I was offered by a Belgian sergeant. I still remember smoking black Sobranie with gold filters just for the effect on girls - the tobacco tasted horrible!

It's been over 20 years since I've seen a pack.
Of course I stopped (not quit, just stopped) smoking a while back. I'll start again in my late 60s. At least that way I have SOMETHING to look forward to when I retire.
