Heh. Conspicuously absent from the call to arms is "South Africa" -- mostly, I suspect, because at the time the poster was printed, there was a distinct possibility that the Japies would come in on the side of the Germans.

Sadly you are right. But some of them still served. My great uncle (8th SA Horse) was killed in East Africa in 1916. My grandfather (Durban Light Infantry) was wounded two weeks before the Somme - so he missed Delville Wood.
