Comments: A Short History of Lawyers

From Across the pond,

I am so thankful there are others like yourself fighting the good fight. How are muslims allowed to protest in your country like they do? are there ever any counter protests? I could not imagine muslims saying that kind of crap here in the U.S., but things seem to be changing for the worst here.

Man do we have some immigration problems like you.

Keep on fighting.

Lawyers are great. Everyone ought to have one. And they should all make minimum wage.

They can write our wills, powers of attorney, and pre-nups. They can interpret all our credit card disclosures and read the prospectuses for our investments. They can review and file all our utility bills and call to complain when the public utilities commission over-reads the meter.

They can fill out all the post-cards for class action lawsuits. They can sue when mail-in rebates are not timely paid. They can file Freedom of Information Act Requests for us when government gets sneaky.

When we get into a spat with the missus, our lawyers can battle it out instead of us.

If we get really bored, we can throw out legal rules and require them to engage in gladiator combat to determine the victor.

When they do a bad job, you take them out to the back woods and end their misery. Then you get a better one.
