Tie a yellow ribbon around young Nawvlee
This mornings entry received from Mr Lusala Long Love is of his late younger brother Nawvlee, cutting a nonchalant dash on the militias Chitty-Rover (hence why the driver is sporting this seasons must have Biggy Bomber Harris headdress)

The judges were especially impressed by Nawvlee’s juxtaposition of the yellow scarf offset by a pair of Marc Jacobs combat flip flops. Sadly the ensemble was slightly spoilt when just after this picture was taken Boom Boom Butannaziba ND’ed with the recoilless, negating the need for young Nawvlee to give up smoking in later life

Funny, he doesn't LOOK like a member of the US Cavalry...For those who don't know, "Cav Yellow" is the Branch Color of Cavalry and Armor in the US Army (used as dress uniform trim, on the unit's colors and prominent in unit insignia)

and is immortalized in the song "In Her Hair She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" - which has nothing to do with that terrible, mawkish "Yellow Ribbon" piece of trash from the Seventies. So I must approve his sartorial choice...
Col Beausaber (Who always prefered "Fiddler's Green" as a march and admits that, properly played, "John Peel" might be the best regimental march in the world)

OK, my training is lacking. What is "ND"?

Thomas, ND stands for negligent discharge. In the Western military establishments, this usually is prevented by following regulations that emphasize safety over looking cool, such as keeping your finger off the damn trigger until you intend to fire.

There is a tale from the Korean war that the Norks captured a US 75mm recoilless. They loaded a round and aimed it at the US line. A number of them got right behind the weapon before it was fired.
The counter recoil jets of gas pretty well messed them up. Some bright lad must have said, "Oh we are pointing the wrong end at the enemy." That was the explanation for the way the bodies were found.
