Scotland Stalking 2: Preparation Phase

Of course, the basis of any shooting trip is in the preparation. Rifles, kit, boots & booze...

A wise old man once told me: "Son, always take more booze than ammo when you go hunting."

He also had some words of wisdom about women who come from Liverpool, but I forget.

I thought the object was to shoot the deer, not get them drunk???

Shoot in the general direction of the deer, then get drunk.

You don't want to hit the deer ... no one can afford porters these days.

Oh, and this post inspired me to go buy an 1860 Army replica, simply because I didn't own one.

Yea, they are fun to shoot, and I get lots of gosh-wow comments from the glock shooters.

Paid $230 for it at Outdoors outfitters ... cash and carry, no ID needed. As for black powder ... I mail order that.
