Firearms Friday: This morning's caption competition

Many is the evening when your humble correspondent has tottered unsteadily home after a long night carousing with The Englishman, only to be greeted by a sight similar to this...

Bren%20gun%20LMG%20light%20machine%20gun.jpg

I say “similar to this” because FM Towers has slightly different wall art – generally of the dire regimental variety – and Mrs FM recently ungraded her section weapon using Nectar points to the venerable Bren’s belt fed successor. Whilst she finds it slightly less convenient, apparently a 200 round belt of 1-in-4 is much better for lighting up anti-hunt scumbags

Hope she hasn't gotten rid of the Bren. It can be modified to digest 7.62mm - which gives you a common caliber with the GPMG - and would make a fine first MG for Boy. Birthday present?

Col Beausaber

You know, every single time I see that pic, I think of Mrs. FM for some reason.

Mr du Toit,

You mean you see Mrs FM as a dopped up hippy chick?

[ducks]

On a more general note, why didn't Mrs FM skip a generation and upgrade straight to the Minimi? Mr FM has alluded to her membership of the arme blanche in the past so surely the lighter weight and greater ease of handling would be an advantage.

She has a 'stoppage pout' if ever I saw one.

"This might be a tad more enjoyable than my cello lessons, but it's still quite heavy.

Rather I practiced with the Sten, mummy."

You just broke into the wrong house scumbag.
