I rather like this picture

I have no idea where I found this or indeed, whether or not someone sent it to me. I like it anyway. However I can’t but help thinking that for those of you that have & can use Photoshop, it could be enhanced a little by the addition of the politician/lawyer/liberal journo etc of your choosing.

Just an idea you understand

At first glance, it looks like the sight picture of a M1 Carbine.

I've never really liked (or completely understood) aiming with the 3-prong sights. Is that how it's supposed to be aimed?

oh well... back to the concentric circles and partridge...

Man, that's a long shot. I can't even see a target.

I'll second the motion that its a M1 Carbine~~~a later model with the adjustable sights, not the
early-model flip-up. My "Inland" model looks just
like this...

And FYI, David, the front sight is a single blade
that is protected by two "ears" which are not part
of the sighting process. Many military weapons have
these~~consider the AK47, for example. They simply
protect the sight blade from being damaged.

Yeah, M1 carbine. The M14/M1A front sites flare out. Rear sight is definitley M1
