England (435 & 252-9) draw with Australia (674-6)
Yet another whinging colonial...
As far as I'm concerned, it was pretty ordinary, really. But they can play whatever way they want to play. We came to play by the rules and the spirit of the game. It's up to them to do what they want to do - Ricky Pointing
I just wonder if that is the same spirit of the game that had Pointing ordering his strike bowlers to bowl short of a length at tail end batsmen? When it comes to gamesmanship, we can teach Australia nothing
Comments
Hear, hear. Like the Australians have never wasted time before, or sledged England batsmen (Shane Warne, Mervyn Hughes, take a bow) or been cautioned for dangerous bowling.
Plain fact: they should have won; they didn't. Hauritz said it best: they had England down, and their bowlers failed to finish the job.
On to Lords.

Teaching gamesmanship? Come on, England's acts of dishonour to the name of cricket started with Bodyline and continue this week with the replacement glove/physio antics. Nothing there to be proud of.
