Meanwhile, down in these yerrr parrrrts....

Crop circle experts believe the latest pattern to be discovered, a phoenix rising from the flames in Wiltshire, may give a warning about the end of the world

....arrrggggghhhhhh......it’s that stupid time of year again when every Norman No-Mates mystic numpty twat dons druidic dress & starts talking complete & utter bollocks

The 400-foot design was discovered in a barley field in Yatesbury near Devizes and depicts the mythical phoenix reborn as it rises from the ashes. Investigators claim more formations are referencing the possibility of a cataclysmic event occurring on December 21, 2012, which coincides with the end of the ancient Mayan calendar.

Really?

So swine flu isn’t going to wipe us all out despite just having had its first success in Blighty although killing some Scottish woman doesn’t really count in exactly the same way that if some pandemic decimates Mexico, a few American lawns won’t get mown & that’s about it . But oh no, this time it really is going to be different. No really...

The Mayan's believed civilisation exists within a series earth cycles of 144,000 days each with the 13th expiring in December 2012, resulting in Armageddon. Crop circle enthusiast Karen Alexander, from Gosport, Hants, said

“The phoenix is a mythical creature which symbolises rebirth and a new era in many cultures across the world. Within the crop circle community many believe the designs are constantly referring to December 21 and its aftermath. This could be interpreted as the human race or earth rising again after a monumental event.”

So let’s be absolutely clear here Karen, a few boys have a few pints of finest foaming one night & then go out with the planks & bale twine for a bit of a giggle. Instead of a couple of alka seltza the next morning, suddenly the world is going to end because the Mayans said so? Is it worth pointing out that if the Mayans weren’t all already dead they would all be currently dying from a severe bout of the snuffles which is no doubt also predicted by ruining corn fields in Wiltshire. So how does that work exactly? Come on Karen, when you are not getting off on crop damage, which one really does it for you? Dungeons & Dragons or World of Warcraft?

So if you catch these berks destroying your crops, are you allowed to shoot them...?

If you aim properly, no one will ever ask that question,..

OT I know, but I think you might want to publicize this.

I hope you and your readers will take a look and maybe spread the word.

This is one in the server for Amahdidinnerjacket and his girl-hurting etc etc etc

Pardon my Spartan.

There is a reason crop circle seldom appear in the US ...

My Academic Year Calendar ends on 31st August. Does this mean I am doomed a bit early? Anyway, what about the change of calendars from Julian to Gregorian back in the 17th Century because that moved dates a bit too. Honestly I predict the drinking of industrial quantities of spirits when I finish next month (better chance of coming true).

Just for the record, the Mayans aren´t áll already dead´. in fact I talked to quite few of them today and there´s several million others in these yerr parrrts (the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico, that is). Their ancient cities may have been destroyed etc etc but they haven´t gone away. As for the apocalypse predicted for 2012, you´ve got to hand it to them, it´s looking less unlikely every day!

The proper Julian date would be 2456282.0

I went to mexico and saw a lot of maya stuff when serving (drinking)in Belize. They weren't that successful. they died out as a civilisation and became jungle itinerants.

I just saw Mayas yesterday at my Walmart. They come to our province to help with farming. Clearly your dated/uneducated ramblings on indigenous demographics is about as accurate as your socialist history.

It is actually FALSE to say that all the mayans are dead - the Mayan Civilization collapsed about a thousand years before Spaniards even arrived in the New World (it was the Aztecs they encountered)but the descendants are still alive in the Yucatan Peninsula - pure non-mixed descendents, so there's mistake number one. One should also look at the facts that there are events of global importance that coincide with major dates on the Mayan Calendar (Alexander's Birth was one of them) And TRUE Spiritualists do not necessarily attribute the end-time to an apocalyptic cataclysm (I have not ruled it out, surely, but this is to say it is not its primary focus) It is meant to show phases of human development on the earthly plane and the end bak'tun is to signify out global spiritual advancement as a whole. Here's why: on the exact date TO THE MINUTE the mayan calendar ends (12/21/12 @ 11:11) Our sun and solar system will move from the northern hemisphere of the galaxy to the southern, causing an alignment with the earth, sun, and galactic center, the only known time in history this has happened. So do you see now? there is a connection between the calendar and astrology, and this predicts the most major astrological event in our history. Look it up if you dont believe me

I don't play Dungeons & Dragons or War of bloody warcraft. Crop circles are not made by the drunk or the drugged. A straight line, or a accurate curve is the cornerstone of a good crop circle - not a wavy line or an arse print in the crop, where you've fallen over. Neither do I remember ever finding large splurges of puke in any circle I have visited. For the record I don't believe the crop circles herald any cataclysm. But I do think that 2012 is for some reason the focus of crop circle design. Why I haven't the faintest - and it sounds from your vacuous comments that neither do you.

I wonder if you've been in Mexico before, 'cause to talk about a country in the way you do it, first, you must know it; Mayans were from Mexico, and they were not exactly landscape workers and Mexico has a diversity of people and qualified workers that you can't find anywhere else; not only lawn mower guys. TWO FACTS:

1.- When the Spaniards arrive in Veraruz, Mexico. the Mayan Governors, Architects, Stargazers and Astronomers were already gone, and the cities were abandoned and in ruins already too.

2.-December 21 2012 is just the END of the Mayan New Calendar, which means that is just a new beginning of a new era for them, and the Milky way alignment; IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD for God's sake!!!
