Dienstag-Morgen pistoleabbildungen

In honour of Gröfaz Griffin (see posts passim), our gun porn this morning continues the Germanic theme, with the Walther P38...

the venerable Luger 08...

& last but not least, the Walther PP

No doubt, our ersatz Reichsmarschall would think that any one of these would be perfect (perfekt?) for his Völkisch movement

It's a shame such beautiful pieces are associated with such crap.

When I was a kid growing up in Germany and playing war I had a P38 cap gun and later a PPK (?). I never had a Luger although I seem to recall they were to big to get in your pockets. I wonder if kids still play at war the way we used to and games like "Dead Man's Fall"?

Is it not the case that the BNP would restore the right to own pistols though? From what I can see, they are less authoritarian than the NuLabor crime family.

What, no C-96 Mauser? One of the most photogenic pistols ever, and a fine peice of Victorian Era engineering.

I think you'll find it's a Victorian era "assault weapon" Larry.

All lovely pieces, and I'd own any one, or all of them, in a heartbeat. Daughter wants a PPK as a carry piece, and I'm trying to find a buyer for one of my kidneys so I can get it for her.
I don't care what they "represent" -- or else I'd never own a Mauser 98K, either.
And THAT would be a travesty, not to mention probably illegal in a dozen states.

Larry - I did think about putting up a Mauser 96 but its not really a Nazi era weapon so it didnt make the cut this time - maybe later in the week....

Kim: See if she will tolerate a Makarov. Same looks, more reliable.
The PPK has some reliability problems. Not as twitchy as a Luger, but not something I would want to stake my life on.

Kim,
Just my $.02, but has she looked at the Sig 232? VERY similar to the PPK/S in size, a bit cheaper, and a dang sight more reliable, being a Sig-Sauer and all. Mine rides quite comfortably in a pants pocket in warm weather..

Mr. Free Market,
I quite understand about not including the C96 then. Still one of my favorites. I truly wish someone still made them. If the Broomie was good enough for Mr. Churchill to take pot shots at Kim's ancestors, it's good enough for me :)

You don't have a daughter, do you?
She's WANTS the PPK/S because it's prettier.

Actually I do have a daughter. But she prefers revolvers!

Another plus for the PPK/S, .380 Auto is about the only ammo I can find in these parts in quantity, and in more-or-less affordable prices..
