History bites back?

As reader Mike points out - First this…

A bust of the former prime minister once voted the greatest Briton in history, which was loaned to [Former President] George W Bush from the Government's art collection after the September 11 attacks, has now been formally handed back

Then that…

Obama, breaking with precedent, wouldn't grant the prime minister the customary honor of standing beside him in front of the two nations' flags for the TV cameras

Baldilocks has an interesting theory about the Washington Messiah’s behavior over the last few days…

If you recall, before Kenya became Kenya (1963) it was a British colony known as British East Africa. Between 1952 and 1960, there was this little “difference of opinion” between the UK and the natives of British East Africa—primarily from the Kikuyu tribe. That conflict is known as the Mau Mau Uprising. There were tens of thousands of African civilians killed and, according to Wiki, seven to ten thousand Africans interned by the British colonial masters. In Dreams from My Father, President Obama says that his grandfather was tortured by the British during the conflict, though he was not a Kikuyu but a Luo. Guess which prime minister ordered the Mau Mau insurgency to be put down.

Mystery solved. It seems that the president is seeking to humiliate the progeny of those who humiliated his ancestors. Revenge isn’t that complicated a motive. However, a question remains. Is this any way for a President of the United States to behave?

Your humble correspondent has a slightly take on recent events. Imagine this, you have have just finished moving into the house of your dreams when suddenly the one eyed Scottish idiot turns up – if it were me, I’d have shot the Brown one on the doorstep.

In any case, our treatment of the Mau Mau was very sound.

Brian down at the range, served in British East Africa during the Uprising. He’s an old man these days but still shoots very very straight.

Don't blame me sir, I voted and gave money to the other guy!

No, it certainly is NOT the way for a President to behave. But then it is well to remember that he doesn't think much of most Americans, either.

No, it is NOT the way for an AMERICAN president to behave. If you have been nosing around on the web, try googling Obama's birth certs and college papers. SEALED tighter than...well, you know.

Dear Leader says many, many things. Most of them turn out to be lies, claptrap or pure fabrication.
He is a Neo-Marxist sock puppet with somebody's hand up his ass.

I think the answer is simple - someone is an egotistical, arrogant, narcissistic twit.

Don't blame me -- I voted for the American.

Typical, IF we had treated the brown Hitler's grandad properly he would not have propogated the loony offspring now destroying freedom in our old colony, still now the yanks can feel worse off for the first time since winning the war of independance!!

Uhmmm, Ted Kennedy and Barrack Obama are not exactly best friends. They've butted heads on wind power and etc. So, putting up Ted for a Knighthood might not have been the best possible move.

Following a lead from Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit, I found the following article, in which "White House Sources" reveal that the problem is simply that Dear Leader and his minions are simply over their heads... http://hotair.com/archives/2009/03/07/great-news-obama-fumbled-brown-visit-because-hes-in-over-his-head/

Don't assume malice here.

Not that Obambi ain't malicious ... it's just that you are assuming he has enough of a clue to be mad about something.

He's just being stupid and clueless. In order for him to be malicious, it has to be something much more obvious.

While the nations of the world play the great game, Obama will be seated at the kiddie table and handed a Happy Meal.

This isn't the first time a country has had an insane twit running it ... all of the old players have contingency plans for this. Unfortunately, the current twit's replacement will have to start the game with NO cards in his hands ... life is tough all over.

It does look like the "tea party" protests really are taking off ... the one in Fullerton had a traffic jam from folks try to get to it. Not sure if Obambi is going to be able to serve a full term ...

Not only did his staff not KNOW how to prepare for a VIP of the stature of the PM, the excuse is being bruited about that Obama hasn't outgrown his need for a nap. Shades of Bill Clinton?

There is also a rumor that Obama has yet to even 'fake an interest in foreign policy.'

The point is, as detestable as both BHO and the PM is to both sides of the pond, they are 'heads of state' and there is a noblesse oblige in how things are done. While I won't apologize for BHO, as he campaigned on his experience and qualifications, I will point out that he has NO EXCUSE to not be better informed and act accordingly.
