Another little angel is returned to sender

A British resident detained at Guantanamo Bay for more than four years has said he is "extraordinarily happy to be home" in the UK. Ethiopian-born Binyam Mohamed, 30, was released on Monday afternoon after he landed at RAF Northolt in London and underwent questioning by police. Mr Mohamed says he was tortured while in custody on suspicion of terrorism.
Sorry, but I simply can’t be bothered to dissect the issues around this case, instead I might well be ordering myself one of these…

...Likewise - I despair. :(
Adding insult to injury - if like me you have been watching 'Ross Kemp Returns to Afghanistan' - are the cases where Taliban insurgents are caught 'red handed' in the combat zone, interned by British troops only to hear that they were later RELEASED (because of lack of evidence).
Yes - I know - we are proving that we Brits are not stooping their level and are following due process...
But I do wonder what effect these events have on the minds of front line British squaddies when they are confronted with the situation of capturing a Taliban *knowing* the chances are they will probably be released latter - and in due course, when the war is over, might even sue us for compensation!!!
Sorry - just venting some steam there.

In a fair and just world, the Order of the Day would read: "Take no prisoners: shoot on sight". but then I always was a hopeless dreamer.
