There is another issue here that's rarely addressed- this makes it more and more difficult to vote New Labour out. Few of the ever increasing public sector worker's are going to vote for Tory cuts experienced under Thatcher,when they have job security & pensions (unaffected by Gordon's stealth tax) the majority of private sector workers could only dream of. No wonder New Labour are employing more and more of them.
