That is a beautiful piece of work.
Looks like they made the entire stock from Burr (or possibly Butt) Walnut. That makes it worth several grand in and of itself!
This is why I want to be a gunsmith.
I just wish the market (or the :@#^ .gov) in the UK had the space for me.

I consulted with one older and wiser than myself, and have learned that that is indeed Butt Walnut.
From the roots of the tree, in case you were wondering. That stock probably makes up half the price of the whole gun, scope included.
