What a splendid photo. Stooked (think that's right) thatching straw most likely....and to me at least such a quintessentially English scene.

Well here in the Colonies (upstate NY ) all we see are the huge white Marshmallow thingys! but i remember them well as a young lad growing up in Oxfordshire. Great pic
