More on Agincourt

Exactly 593 years after King Henry V's legendary victory, a revisionist conference will be held at the scene of the triumph. Academics will suggest that the extent of the feat of arms was massively exaggerated, with claims that the English were hugely outnumbered a lie. More controversially still, they will say that the foreign invaders used numerous underhand tactics against an honourable enemy. These included burning prisoners to death and setting 40 bloodthirsty royal bodyguards on to a single Gallic nobleman who had surrendered

The best thing about this is that these revisionist historians actually seem to think that for some reason we care about their opinions. Wonderful, whatever next? A reinterpretation of the Nepoleanic Wars where their greatest military leader of all time doesn’t get completely spanked by a British footwear designer?

A wave of the fat capitalist cigar to NBC for pointing this out

How comes the greatest champions of "human rights" in present-day Europe seems to be the French(Algeria, anyone?), Belgians(heard about the free state of Congo?), Spanish and Germans(No references needed)?

What, did Bluecher design British footwear?

But the last line of the DT article was pure class: "No English academics have been invited."
Ouch...

"What, did Bluecher design British footwear?"...

Actually at Waterloo, the Germans showed up rather late for the battle - this is why they turned up very early for the next three major European wars.

Bravo Mr free Market.

Are these individuals not more candidates for the Monday Morning hanging line up?

The Blucher shoe is known in the UK as a "Derby." The "Wellington" boot is known in the US as a "shit-kicker."
