There is not ONE artillery school on the planet that teaches you to clear the piece whilst standing directly behind the beast. Loader to one side, gunner to the other, and no one behind the wheels either, in case of an over energetic recoil.
I'd say that twit is is a candidate for a Darwin Awards Honorable Mention, or even a full Award, as I am certain that taking a recoil like that is a potential killer. Depends on whether he died, and whether he has already reproduced.
