Actually single o shot gives you-all an extra 1/2 ounce of lead in each shell simply because oo ought is about 36 calibre and stacks not very well in a 12gauge tube lots of air space. a bear coming in fast pasted with single ought looks like he has had his teeth brushed with a chainsaw. Now on the down side 0 is about 22 caliber and wont carry as far, but if you are looking for range why aren't you-all using a rifle ?a shotgun has no peer at halitosis range.
