& now the next UK gun ban

That you to everyone that has sent me this link today

The home secretary has unveiled plans to ban deactivated guns this year, on a visit to the Liverpool suburb where schoolboy Rhys Jones was murdered. Jacqui Smith said she wanted to protect the public and allow police to remove black-market firearms from the streets. Deactivated guns are not capable of firing live ammunition, but criminals often alter them for re-use.

In fact I am not even going to be bother to type my usual page of invective against the this latest bout of stupidity from the GFWs – anyone that feels the urge, there is always the comments section.

All I will say however is that I really wish, because of Mr Free Markets First Law of Firearms* they would stop introducing more & more of these nonsensical bans because it is getting so damn expensive … so it looks like its off to the gun shop again

Mr Free Markets First Law of Firearms states

“Every time the Gun Fearing Wusses berate their close allies, spineless politicians who want to be seen to be doing something about gun crime, into another useless ban, Mr FM has to go & buy another firearm”

Its very hard to give a reasoned reply to this, especially without any sarcasm, this is a control-freak government who have abdicated their real responsibilities and now have the time to micro-manage their possessions (us!!) what hope for the future? I doubt the petition to make Clarkson PM will work, nice try though (have YOU voted, its on the downing street website) when things get desperate enough the public will elect someone they hope will save them, hoping for a Churchill or Thatcher, I hope we dont get a Hitler(no one takes notice of history in the great British public). Me, Im hoping to be off to Canada.

Chris Canada is in a worse state than us, Australia too, I think of the former Dominions only NZ is still sensible. Banning a weapon that is already deactivated to the point where one needs a decent apprenticeship in toolmaking, a seriously well equipped workshop and an almost endless supply of illegal section 5 parts then fine, Just dont expect too many to be handed in!

"Also many replica guns can be easily converted to enable them to fire live ammunition."

ha! What they mean is a replica can be altered to fire one .22LR before jamming and/or self destructing.

Next they will ban metal pipes capable of being 'converted' into zip guns. Better stock up on .22" and 9mm piping.

You chaps in the UK have a tough time.

What was she smoking when she thought of that one, hang about, she is obviously incapable of thought start the witch hunt and burn the heretic single issue advisor! Better use Bio fuel though!
Well we can all sleep safe knowing that all the vandalised machine guns will be destroyed as part of a Govt buy back scheme!
I knew I was right to stick to section 1 rifles and shotguns!
