First Frost
0715, -1 degree, Jack Frost has called in the night. Still, with the onset of a couple of frosts, the sloes will now be ready of picking.

Since I took that picture, puppy has been out barking at the contractor’s tractor that arrived shortly afterwards & is currently parked in the yard. Mrs FM has a theory that the fact that its a Massey Ferguson, is causing puppy to bark.

Apparently in tests, 8 out of 10 Labradors preferred John Deeres. Personally I think Mrs FM is talking a right load of Jackson Pollocks but there is no way that I’m brave enough to tell her
Now while we are on matters rural & more specifically on how they might pertain to these yerrrrr parrrrrrrrrrrts, I simply had to steal this
from The Englishman. The funny thing is that it isn't funny at all. Things are pretty much like that down'ere
Comments
The reason the Lab barks at Massey Ferguson and not Deere's is the dog only barks at tractors ;)
That reminds me!
Q)Why are JD's painted green?
A)So they can hide in the weeds while all the Orange and Red Tractors do all the work!

Bring on the sloes. I have managed to save some gin from last year, I can hardly wait!

Some asshole just destroyed my sloe supply with a hedge cutter. I will now have to roam far and wide to find some more!

The traditional challenge / response is:
Nothing runs like a Deere.
Nothing smells like a John.

Morning FM. Have been following you for a while. Beautiful morning again this morning, dogging in at 7 with the girlfriend and her Ridgeback! Not many can say they have been dogging in with a Ridgeback before! (also 3lb sloes picked, more to come) I also have too many guns to fit into the cabinet, but am ashamed to say they don't get used enough. Your contractors are using the wrong colour, they need to be a lighter shade of green, like the Fendt. Keep up the good work....

The Estate tenants JD 8030 sheared the main drive shaft from engine to gearbox this afternoon hauling spuds. Say no more.....
