Why a Range Rover? Just because...
No doubt you will all recall Clarkson’s Range Rover Sport v Challenger MBT test … not for Clarko the run of the mill look at all the boot space boring old finger in the ear’ole dirge of a road test. However I suspect that less of you recall the 4x4 test that they did on the current Range Rover when it first came out. So dear readers, this morning lets refresh our memories: after all, it has all of our favourite ingredients…

Well my Range Rover may be 25 years old and slightly battered but it is still a Range Rover which puts it head and shoulders above the foreign competition.
Of course the 50 year old Land Rover comes to the fore for the heavy work :D

I had to plug my Jeep's ears. 'Don't listen to them...you're still a great puddle jumper.'
Absolutely fantastic off road vehicle, the Range Rover. I have always wanted one.

The only thing about the BMW vs. Range rover argument is that in ten years time, the Ranger Rover will only start reliably about 50% of the time...
Not that I'd ever want that piece of German yuppieness, though.

The Grand Wagoneer isn't really a Jeep, I pine for an International Scout, or for stylin' around a Jeepster.
