A little bit of Wednesday morning frivolity
but now for the real thing - the greatest band ever performing one of their greatest tunes ...

Sad but true - saw them every year from 76 to 82 and they still sound fresh (well to my ancient old ears). They lived on my ipod in Iraq in 2003 as well as in my sad old people carrier once Bliar had deighned to release me back to civvy st after an unscheduled 8 month two-centre break in uniform....

Lessee...driving my five speed Jeep over Highway 63 listening to KLRB in Carmel...the jockeys were stoned (on drugs) or drunk.
Ah, memories.

I followed and occasionaly worked for the clash...I still love them....amazingly still admire Strummer even though many things he said make me wince..strange but true!

Jamie - I am with you on some of the lyrics, but let's put it into context
"When the knick down your front door
How you gonna come
With your hands of your head
Or on the trigger of your gun?"

Yup... saw them several times and they remain the best rock and roll band ever. If you haven't got it already, the DVD 'Westway to the World' is an excellent addition to any Clash fan library.
