You can never ever have enough rifles

As previosly reported, with my Savage .17HMR almost certainly beyond economic repair (although like an expectant father pacing up & down outside the delivery room I continue to hang on every phone call), there sadly (or happily) has appeared some room in the gun safe … & you know where is is going already don’t you dear readers?

So, here we have the latest addition to my ever swelling little collection, purchased from Thames Valley Guns

Now, at the risk of sounding like that M&S Nigella wannabe food advertisment, this isn’t just a Ruger 10/22, this is a Ruger 10/22 Evolution lovingly converted by Rimfire Magic. The only original Ruger parts that remain are the receiver & bolt which nestle within an Evolution stock system that has been milled out of a lump of billet.

The stock system is fitted with an extended picatanny rail, weighs 2lbs 4oz and will accommodates a wide variety of the sort of attachments that cause GFWs to dissolve into paroxisms of fury.

Even the barrel isn’t quite what it seems. Yes it is 20” of gobsmackingly beautiful carbon fibre, but the last 6” (& girls, those are the ones that count) are in fact a fully enclosed 5 baffle sound moderator.

Finished off with a SOCOM M4 butt & since the above pictures were taken it has been re-scoped with the Tasco 3-9x40 scope from the Savage. However, originally it apparently looked something a little like this

Give me time dear readers ... give me time !

Ah!...gun porn in the morning....I love it!

Drool, urp - that's fantastic!

Oh yeh, if you want to go retro ther's a kit to make the 10/22 resemble a MG42...

OO, GFW'w, anger, hysteria can we watch. Lets have a picnic and a brew or two dozen. What fun.

Nah, you don't want all that naff mall-ninja crap on the rifle... it looks fine just as it is.

And now all you need is a few hi-cap mags - and I know just where to get them.

"You can never ever have enough rifles"? well, yes up to a point - but after buying (purely on impulse) a No.4 Enfield yesterday, all my gun racks are full and I'm running out of wall space!

When I get the Winchester 12 gauge trench gun I have on back order, the wife will have to find somewhere else to keep her M1 carbine.......

I agree theres never too amny rifles. once I get the SNider carbine out of layby and into my rack I'm gonna be happy blowing bunnys into shreds :D not quite high enough velocity a round to turn them into mist, but good enough for me :D

Hi Cap Mags?? ..... yummmmmy!
