Situation exercise
You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed. On your right side is sharp drop off, and on your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you. Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to overtake it. Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the Kangaroo. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?
Get your drunk ass off the merry-go-round!

Ah - I would have said "Jump into the speedboat just behind you to your left". Of course this wouldn't work if it was a tiger chasing you, as we all know that tigers are very good swimmers.

Realise that you are quite safe. Because the lion is just the Equator, "the menagery lion running round the world".

If the lion is running at the same speed as your horse, there is no danger since it will never overtake you. Lions are not long distance runners so it will likely tire long before a horse or kangaroo.
If the lion was going to overtake the horse, and I happened to be a circus acrobat, I would jump onto the elephant’s back. Lion’s do not hunt healthy adult elephants.

Yeah. I was thinking more like pull out your .454 Casull Fireball* and splatter the kangaroo so you can pass it... or shoot the lion about 6 times.
Either way, problem solved. Even on the MerryGoRound.
*You are carrying your mountain gun in a dangerous place like that, aren't you?

However of course you horse is moving faster than the elephant (as it is on the inside track). This must be a clue as to your escape. Either that or jump into the cash carriers pocket as the pikey moves around the M-G-R?
