Your money at work
I freely admit to being rather attached to my 'manhood' in more ways than one. However, some people who are not wired correctly would rather theirs was cut off like this convict who is currently serving a life sentence for attempted murder & kidnapping
John Pilley was granted permission in 1999 to have a sex change, the procedure taking place two years later after which, as Jane Anne Pilley, (s)he was moved to Holloway women's prison in London.
Nice to think that the National Health Service has so much spare money & resources that it can provide these sorts of procedures & treatments for free – but then it gets better. Now (s)he wants to change sex again … at the taxpayers expense.
Can ANYONE explain to me why the British taxpayer that already has to fund the chronically wasteful & inefficient National Health Service has to pay for this sort of nonsense? Just remember dear readers, next time you look at your salary slip & see the huge amount that it deducted for tax & National Insurance – this is how the Government spends your money
Current mood: Incandescent with rage
A wave of the fat capitalist cigar to reader Michael H for pointing this one out

As my wife points out to me.
After working in the NHS all our lives, we are now considered obese & are therefore unlikely to be qualify for treatment in some health authorities!!!!

I am posting anonymously for fear of being investigated by the police for homophobic/racist/fascist/right-wing/sensible views, but having a sex change while serving a life sentence is very very odd.

Mind you... having one at the best of times is probably a little "taxing" on the mind -- as well as our pockets.
