Children & guns

I really dont care what Scottish politicans think ... this is how a young shaver should be spending his weekends-

... not in front of the telly or playstation ... but tooled up, getting both fresh air & exercise while learning how to put food on the table

That smile is about ready to crack his face.

Can't agree with you more.

My youngsters have been along on hunts since they were toddlers and I believe that its done then good. And there's none of that "anti-hunt but don't mind eating meat from the supermarket" claptrap from them. They know where meat comes from!

There's a fight between my them as to who gets to go along when I go shooting. My 11 year old son has already split his lip on the recoil from my 303 Enfield. Shock and horror from the nanny brigade that I should let him handle it, but he's proud of it and now he knows that its not a toy.

And best of all, they're out in the veld, not in front of the telly.

I have just received the Cabela's catalog (SIC) & can see which pattern of cammo my godson requires for his christmas present!
I was thinking of the duvet cover - but thought that you may steal that yourself!!

My copy arrived last week - I think the Mrs FM has already resigned herself to the Realtree bed linen - maybe I can get linen that matches the camo on my Franchi 20G

127 pages of fine green & brown clothing! Neither of which are the new black!
I am sure Nanny Blair will probably ban getting this type of man porn - so will need to stockpile a few issues!

but you need the Bass Pro brochure as well

Amen, brother.
A fine way to spend some time...

Glad to see that young Mr. F.M. has demonstrated his position on the great cartridge belt controversy.

Both of my boys started young. It served the eldest well when he went to the US Army. He qualified Expert with everything that they gave him to shoot. It is much better for them to be out instead in at the television. I do not know if you folks across the pond are getting all of this claptrap about obesity or not, but kids need to be physically active and what better way.

Shame on you Mr FM! I mean, with a start like this how on earth can Master FM ever become a lifelong client of the Nanny State? He should be sitting in the lounge of a council house watching daytime telly on a super wide screen while counting the proceeds of his latest shoplifting spree. Alternatively he should be hanging around outside an off licence trying to menace adults into buying him cheap booze and fags. Have you no feelings for the hard working state employees who will be made unemployed by your failure to turn out yet another juvenile delinquent?

Seriously though, young Master FM is a fine picture of a well brought up young man. Note the correct wearing of personal protective equipment and the weapon carried, broken, in the approved manner. A credit to his parents methinks.

I thoroughly approve. Kids are very responsible around guns and that must teach them all kinds of important lessons. Certainly whenever I hear of accidents involving kids and guns I always wonder whether daddy ever took 'em to the range.

By the way, this Eric Raymond essay is full of good stuff about what handling guns is about.

This is cool, you have to try it. I guessed 75601, and this game guessed it! See it here - http://www.funbrain.com/guess/
