AlphaPatriot seems to be suffering from the effects of yet another outbreak of political correctness, over pejorative synonyms for the word 'Arab'.

The president of the American Arab Forum noticed the synonyms, got offended, and within hours the offensive terms were wiped out as if they never existed. Indeed, a quick check shows that there are now absolutely no synonyms for Arab — or Jew for that matter.

Grandparents FM (mothers side) regularly used the term 'dirty Arab' probably because my Grandfather spent the Great War fighting Johnny Turk in Palestine & thus had a fair idea of what the locals were like.

Now, I have no such experience of Arabia, never having been there, save for a few flight connections at Dubai. In fact, I have absolutely no intention of ever visiting the place. If I want to see antiquities, I will drop into our local old peoples home & thus I cannot testify if Arabs are in fact dirty. But if my Grandfather were alive today, no doubt the Thought Police would be slapping on the bracelets & whisking him off for re-education; despite the row of medals he wore.
