Tales from the pub car park
Last night comprised rifles, beer & pork scratchlings. I know, I know, it is difficult to top that – but thrown in for good measure it also included a complete lack of charge in the battery of a certain well known English blogger’s 4x4.

When I read about Tim's push-start on his blog, I naturally assumed a Disco to be the culprit!

Oy tiger !!!! Nothing wrong with the Disco (this week)! Nah, it was Tim's Shogun. Funny thing was, both of us being stout practical country types ....
I went into the back of the Defender to get out the HD tow rope .... not there. So Tim says, no problem, he has a chain in the back of the Shogun .... not there! I ask you, what a pair of Fulham Farmers!

Drunk as I was when I got home I remembered to put the bloody chain back in the boot (proves you should never tidy out a vehicle!) and also hook it up to the battery charger.

When I owned a VW Passat years ago, I discovered that Vorsprung Durch Technik is German for "the parts are b;oody expensive"
