Hay, just wanted to post. ran across this site looking up hunting information. Truly a blessing. Glad to see you have found many hours of enjoyment in the control of the animal population.

I'm from New York state over in North America. and when people asked me why I hunt or tell me that deer hunting is cruel. I tell them that Without hunters the deer population(which is overpopulating in sum places) would over populate the state. And THAT would be cruel, the deer would run out of food, there would be a higher rate of disease and more deer would get hit by cars. That usually shuts em up.

Will all you idiot vermin huggers please shut up you dont know what you're talking about. If you want to see what happens when there are too many foxes come and stay in Australia with me and we can pick up the 50 or so dead lams that were eaten alive while they were being born by Foxes. Then you can comment!!!

i totally agree with russ. i think its horrid when little lambs are eaten!!!!! think about the farmers point of view on the matter, foxes kill lambs and this can realy cost farmers! i also agree with daniel, their population needs to be controlled and as a keen horse rider and owner i think we should continue with the sport but in the most humane way possible!!!!!

U people have no idea of what u r talking about if u think hunting is cruel. The sport keeps the number of foxes down and stops the spread of disease. If you think about it, foxes can be extremely dangerous as they can spread terrible diseases into dogs and cats. They also have a few nasty habits e.g. killing cats & chickens, rummaging through dust bins etc...

I have only been hunting a few times as it takes ages to get ready and I spend loads of time show jumping but when I have been out, it has been huge fun.
