Under the knife
Later on today, your humble correspondent goes under the surgeons knife – some maybe disappointed to hear that it is only a minor procedure to patch up a leg; certainly I am sure that there are those out there might wish it were for something that has lower survivability rates.
As is oft the case these days, the operation will be undertaken under a local aesthetic - & it is this that is currently causing me the most concern. Given my views on a lot of our health care services, the fact that I shall be capable of articulating these views to the operating theatre staff might mean that I leave the hospital with my testicles stitched on to my forehead – oh dear!

God bless.

Being operated under a local aesthetic?
aes·thet·ic adj.
Of or concerning the appreciation of beauty or good taste: the aesthetic faculties.
Characterized by a heightened sensitivity to beauty.
Knowing your ugly rugby player face maybe not the right word!
All the best.

Take a nice thick hardback - you can bite on it if they get the anaesthetic wrong and you can put it between you and a most disturbing view of your own anatomy :0

Then again, if they stitch your testicles to your forehead, you can live out your life free of ignominy in France. They wouldn't know what they were.

By the lack of christmas cheer from FM towers this am, maybe the plastic surgeon did not manage to complete the attachment of laser sight to right arm as well as extra gripping hands & liver of iron in 1 short operation. Or maybe our correspondent of choice is still on a trolley waiting to be sliced diced and sewn...waiting in anticipation
