Shopping
Now before we high tailed it south out of Maryland, I did something I rarely do ... the Free Markettes were taken from us (& no, not by Social Services - I haven't beaten either of them that badly ... lately!) - it was suggested that we might take a couple of hours out & go to the mall.
No ..no .. no !!Pass me the bolt cutters - I mean, I'd rather cut my toes off than traipse around a blooming shopping centre - is there any more mindless way to waste your life??However by sheer weight of numbers my resistance was crushed - so off we tootled of ‘Arundel Mills'.
Now this particular hell hole is situated just to the east of Washington DCs beltway & early signs were not good... shoe shops, clothes shops & then this. My whole life is changed! I never want to go anywhere else ever again - this store is truly proof that we inhabit a benign universe & ultimately the American Way will prevail.
I could rabbit on for hours & hours about the amount of stuff I bought - but thats another post for another day. I would however like to draw your attention to this months special-a Savage synthetic in either .270 / .30-06 / 7mm Mag / .300 Win Mag; with rail mounts & scope,
$299.98 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Given the current strength of Sterling thats about 170 quid.
Anyway, sadly the FAC is just about full & Mrs FM won't tolerate any more firearms purchases in the near future - still this moratorium does not extend to misc gun stuff, so we will be needing an extra case on the way home ... esp because the store, this beacon of light, is right on our route back to the airport.
I almost want to go home tomorrow

Nice to see I'm not the only one who get's all misty eyed at a Bass Pro Shop. Although I've often thought, while waiting for the Mrs to "shop" (defined as sucking the life out of me) that women's stores would do much better if they had a men's care section. A simple thing really; a TV tuned to a sports channel, a couple of chairs and a beer dispensing device.
Then a trip to the mall is bliss for her and a sort of pub crawl for him. It would also take the edge off of her credit card usage.

Bass Pro? Please.
Try Cabela's. I understand their ten stores average about 250,000 square feet.
There's even one opening in Wheeling, West Virginia tomorrow.

Y'all come to Texas where you don't have to wade through fishing tackel to buy guns.
Oh by the way, with a CHL one can take your puchase home the same day,no stupid waiting periods.Or buy a gun Face to Face in Texas,no paper work,no tax, just the simple free market exchange of Money for goods.
