Bush & The Rugby World Cup

bushbaghdad.jpg

Many of you may have read my posts on the Anti-American protests. Some of you may have looked at the pictures of the Rugby World Cup. Interestingly, they are now connected. How come? Read on!

On Monday 9th December, Englands victorious rugby team will parade through London. This should make for some interesting arithmetic. Currently, the scores on the doors are as follows:

Population of UK 60,094,648

No. of people that protested against the Bill
To ban Foxhunting 407,791

No. of people that protested against the
Bush visit 30,000

No. of people that went to Heathrow Airport at
4a.m. to welcome the England team home 8,000

As the parade will pass under my office window, pictorial evidence will be posted. I am sure that the numbers will be interesting to compare with the above.

Where do you get your figures on the number of protesters, Fox-hunt-wise and Bush-protest-wise? I've seen anything between 200K (protesters' estimates) to 70K (Scotland Yard's) at the Bush thing. It would be helpful if you'd publish a link for your stats, so that when pointing these figures out to Idiotarians we could cite the source.

Thanx.

I hate to be a stickler for detail, but Monday is 8 December. I know this, b/c I have a test in Physics(everyone out there please pray for me) that day.
