Happy Thanksgiving Day

usaflag.gif
To all my readers in the United States and all the readers in the States that I have not, I wish you all the very best, on what is a special day for you all. This year more than ever, the UK is grateful for your friendship & support. As countries, we share common values & in the uncertain World that we now live in we must not forget that.

Today my thoughts are paticularly with your sons & daughters that cannot be with their families at this time - may they return safety home. It is sad to say, but not all will. It is the price we collectively pay for our belief in democracy & freedom. We are grateful to them for their sacrifices, in bringing what we take for granted, to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Having just read on the news wires that George Bush went to Iraq today to meet see the troops. I cannot expess in polite language how much this impresses me. In times of war, a leaders place is next to men; as Commander in Chief he clearly understands this. It must mean the world to those that met him as they will all realise that he has put others before himself.

And on this day we give thanks and express gratitude to the Father of us all for family, friends and loved ones.

Why thank you, kind sir! I have recently discovered your blog and have enjoyed your sense of humor immensely. But then, my humor has always been a bit on the dry side.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you. It does my heart good to have run across such an Englishman!

Thank you for the warm sentiments. Believe me, one of the things we are most thankful for is our friendship with Great Britain; that each of us can rest assured that neither of us will ever have to face the dragons alone.

It's a shame y'all don't celebrate Thanksgiving across the pond.

Ahhh well, on the bright side though, that means more turkey for me!

We'll be raising a glass in your direction.
Enjoy the holidays with your family!!

Thank you for your kind words, sir.

Great Britain is the only redeeming quality of Europe. I'm sorry you're saddled with ingrateful sh*t-holes like France and Germany.

Blog on, dude!

...well, other than Poland, Spain, etc., I suppose.

Just stumbled on your site and want to say *Thanks!*. After all the time I've spent in Europe (and other places) I'm still amazed at the hate Americans out there even though they wear our clothes, eat our food....

Good to see there is a voice of reason in Europe. Is it any surprise it is from my favorite, the Brits???
