Tales From Central Command

My neighbour, The Good Colonel, was posted to Central Command, Florida. Working for him was a third generation USMC Major; both shall remain nameless under the terms of Section 2 of the Offical Secrets Act.

One morning, The Good Colonel overheard his subordinate on the phone,
"Major, what have you just agreed to do?" he shouted across the office. In finest traditions of the Corps, the Major snapped to attention and in a voice that would have delighted any drill instructor, replied,
"Sir, I do not know, but I will make it happen, Sir."
