Back from the USA

Having just returned from a week in New England, here are a few random observations. Now many people think that New England is a bit up its own arse but I'm hear to tell you its a great place. So heres a list of 10 things I noticed / liked....

1. People are polite & friendly

2. Its SUV heaven - put me down for a Hummer - no make that 2 !; failing that a Ford Expedition will do

3. You get service

4. Motels are cheap - $60/night is average, $100/night in a tourist location for a cute room

5. The quality of the steaks is fantastic

6. No litter....anywhere!

7. No graffitti....anyway!

8. Driving standards are high

9. The countryside is seriously beautiful

10. You are welcome

Not much of this can be said for England I'm afraid..............pass me the immigration form....

.......but on the downside, the coffee is still dreadful!

Come back anytime. BTW You think they are polite up east? Wow, then you may not be able to deal with how polite we are in the Southern US. This is where those delicious steaks come from anyway.

Phil has it exactly right.

Sir, you are quite remarkable. NRA member: 90% Camp Perry.

I've just stumbled accross this quite by mistake, and have spent the last hour at my desk laughing my socks off.
thankyou
